What I Do:
Beside being part of the elders I have a passion for the Hispanic community which moves me to serve in different areas, currently responsible for Primer Paso class (First Step class) for Christ Fellowship en Español.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
The clear vision to fuel a movement of multiplying churches to reach unreached people with the life saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s all about the people.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
Some friends told me about Christ Fellowship right after they attended a Fiesta Latina event back in October 2010. Abby and I decided to visit the church and immediately felt connected, loved and cared for. We decided to become part of the Christ Fellowship family in January 2011.
How I Met Jesus:
I was born in a Christian family, my parents were always an example of faith and perseverance in the midst of trials. Their love for God and his Word always encourages me to continue in his ways, and I ended up surrendering my life to Jesus in January 1987, during an Evangelistic Crusade in Saltillo, my hometown back in Mexico.
My father was part-time pastor of a small local church when I trusted in Jesus as my personal savior. Three years later he was called by God into a full-time pastoral ministry. God did amazing things during 25 years of my dad’s pastoral ministry, and I was blessed to see all these wonderful things in my church. I consider it a great honor, privilege and huge responsibility being a part of a pastoral family. This way of thinking and believing always encouraged me to know more about God and serve him and love him with all my heart.
My hopes and dreams for our church:
To become a church where all people feel welcome, to be a safe place where people can come and find rest and the love of Jesus Christ reflected on every church member.
What one thing I would want for each church member:
To find and follow Christ!
Favorite Bible verse:
