Jaime Gonzalez – Senior Associate Pastor – Spanish Ministry
What I Do:
As pastor of evangelism I get to equip our church body and provide opportunities on how to genuinely love friends, family members, and neighbors into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. And as the Spanish pastor, I also get to do this in Spanish.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
I love that we are all about “helping people follow Christ.” No matter what stage in life, or circumstance being faced, or where someone has been … I love that our church is all about helping you follow Christ.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
After having pastored in California for almost 10 years, My family and I moved to Texas to continue my pastoral education. As we were looking for a church to call “home,” I searched on the Internet for churches in the Frisco-McKinney area and found Christ Fellowship. We attended the services and fell in love with the church. I started to volunteer as the Spanish venue pastor and the next thing you know, I was invited to come on staff. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
Before Christ Fellowship:
I was the Spanish Pastor at Lighthouse Christian Center in Pittsburg, CA.
How I Met Jesus:
During the summer of my junior/senior year in high school, after witnessing how my dad’s life had been transformed by his new with relationship with Jesus Christ. I decided that if Jesus could change my dad, he could certainly change my life. I decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ and ever since then I have been on a journey with Jesus.
Favorite Bible Verse:
Philippians 1:21 “For to me live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Playing the piano, guitar, reading, baseball with my two boys, taking walks with my wife
Random Fun Fact:
I can write in Spanish on a white board while speaking in English at the same time and vice-versa.
