What I Do:
I have the privilege of being called the preschool director of Promiseland Preschool at Christ Fellowship. This includes joyfully working with the teaching staff, parents and many happy preschoolers during the school week!
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
I love the four practices of faith that I see at work at Christ fellowship: to engage God individually, connect in a group, worship in a gathering and impact others. I love how the pastors don’t preach at you, but they teach you what the Bible says and how it applies to daily life. I love how CF is constantly growing, changing and always asking how we can better meet the needs of those around us.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
I had been a preschool director for many years at another church and began asking God if there was someplace else He needed me to be. One day I received an email making me aware of a need that the preschool had at Christ Fellowship. I just stepped out in faith and trusted that God would let me know if this was where I was supposed to be. A short time later, I was the new director of Promiseland Preschool, certain that God had called me and believing that He would equip me for the call.
Before Christ Fellowship:
I lived in Fort Lauderdale Florida for 25 years before a job transfer moved my family to McKinney. I taught at a large preschool there. My first year of teaching preschool I actually had Billy Graham’s grandson in my class!
How I Met Jesus:
I really don’t remember a time when I didn’t know Jesus. I was blessed to be raised in a church and have parents that actively lived their faith. I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus when I was in college and recognized my own need for a Savior. I have been a member of a number of different churches over the years but a joyful servant of the same, true and faithful God!
Favorite Bible Verse:
Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Gardening, reading, walking my dog, visiting my parents in Blue Ridge TX, calling or texting my 3 sons often now that I am an “empty nester.”
