Kate Gray – Children’s Pre-Elementary Assistant
Email Address: kgray@CFhome.org
What I Do:
I provide administrative support to the Pre-Elementary Director. This includes preparing crafts for weekly lessons, helping select curriculum, and ensuring Sunday staffing needs are met. Together we ensure every child who walks through our classroom doors is cared for and given the tools to grow as they find and follow Christ.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
Christ Fellowship is not a building. It is not a place used to worship our God just on Sundays. Christ Fellowship is a home. Within our walls is a family that continues to grow and transform. I have been a part of this family since 2007. Regardless of growth or change, CF has never lacked intimacy or the tools I have so desperately needed to grow a relationship with my creator.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
While at a party my now-husband, Robert, approached me and asked me to join him at church on Sunday. I fell in love almost instantly (with Robert, too).
Before Christ Fellowship:
I stayed home after my son, Harry, was born in September, 2013. Prior to his birth, I managed apartment communities after graduating from UNT in 2009.
How I Met Jesus:
I responded to an altar call during a youth summer camp after listening to Matt Chandler preach. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit immediately. Although I was excited, I had so many unanswered questions and never really understood how to grow in my walk. It was not until my early twenties when I came to CF that I developed a relationship with Christ. I have been in awe ever since.
Favorite Bible Verse:
Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
I cherish time spent with family and friends. We love to explore nature, travel, and fish/explore on our boat. We have two rescue dogs that like to be at the center of it all.
Random Fun Fact:
In March 2012, Robert and I realized our five year dating anniversary was approaching and decided it would be a great day to get married. We called our family and friends on Monday, and Friday we were married by Mike Stewart in a tiny, intimate ceremony in the chapel here at Christ Fellowship. We tend to procrastinate.
