Ken Stoneking – Pastor, Groups, Connection and Men
What I Do:
I serve Jesus by equipping and encouraging people to foster healthy Life Group communities where people care for one another, grow together and impact others for Christ’s kingdom.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
We are all about Christ and making a difference for him in the communities where he has placed us by showing his grace, love, forgiveness and hope.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
Having served as a businessman and then as a staff pastor with Fellowship North (now Chase Oaks) in Plano, Bent Tree Bible in Carrollton & RockPointe Church in Flower Mound, God led my wife, Michelle, and I to McKinney to begin reaching out, serving and sharing the gospel with unchurched people in McKinney. The elders of Christ Fellowship embraced what we were doing and offered to partner with us, providing encouragement and “back office” support for our ministry. This led to our helping out the church primarily in areas of community outreach and small groups.
Before Christ Fellowship:
I met our Senior Pastor Bruce as a fellow dad at our boys’ Kindergarten soccer games. We later served on staff together at Chase Oaks before he left to start Christ Fellowship in McKinney with many of our close friends.
How I Met Jesus:
As a boy of eight at a Sunday School Halloween party in a small church in my home state of Minnesota
Favorite Bible Verse:
Travel, golf, diving, any sports, fixing things, reading.
Random Fun Fact:
Love all kinds of music and was a high school drum major.
