Community Impact Ministries for good deeds and good news
What is CIM? “Community Impact Ministries” is Christlike love in action! Through CIM we reach people at their felt-need, providing food, clothing, shelter, life skills training and the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a family of believers who are all about Jesus and strive in every way to live out our values of “all in – people who hold nothing back,” and “all together – people who unite to make a difference.”
How are we to do this?
Christ Fellowship is called by God to bring a foretaste of his coming kingdom to the people of Collin County. Through our lives and service to God we bring hope, healing, mercy and justice to our community.
We do this by turning up the volume and intensity of our CIM. We take ownership of our spiritual calling to be missional—a reproducing community of authentic disciples, being equipped as missionaries sent by God, to live and proclaim his Kingdom in our world, beginning in our homes with our families, proceeding out into our neighborhoods, to our workplaces and throughout our community.
While sharing the gospel is free, community transformation is not. It costs nothing for you to share the hope you have in Christ with others. But community transformation does carry a cost.
Through our CIM we seek holistic community development. We also set a context for you to have life-on-life relational connection with lost, hurting and marginalized people who are important to God. Our ministries are designed to give you an easy onramp into your neighbor’s lives for loving service and maximum spiritual impact as you follow the Spirit’s leading to share what God has done in your life and the difference it has made.
The CIM offering funds all community impact ministries year round. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land. – Deuteronomy 15:11
Through our generosity, we get to express our commitment and concern for the marginalized, the outcast and underserved. He did what was right and just, so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the LORD. – Jeremiah 22:15b-16
The CIM offering is separate from our regular general fund offering. This offering is an invitation to give over and above your regular financial giving to the general fund, which supports our ongoing core ministries and needs.
