We are a small non-profit with a passion to equip people and churches with the tools needed to grow strong relationships. We’ve helped hundreds of couples and families over the years! Our couch has been the safe landing spot for many, and we are privileged to have been part of it all.
COMMUNITY LIFELINE CENTER
Our goal is to provide firm footing to those experiencing temporary crisis. Their needs may range from financial support to goods and services.
BRIDGES THAT UNITE
Bridges that Unite is a non-profit organization whose mission is poverty alleviation though education, coordinating community initiatives, building human capacity, and fostering relationships among all economic classes. Education and resource building are an important component of Bridges that Unite. We partner with individuals working toward self-sufficiency and stability. We also partner with groups for poverty awareness training in several different formats.
We are committed to transforming the disadvantaged neighborhoods of our city by making a long term commitment to the children and showing them a pathway to a life of success. We do this because we are committed to the principle that God has a great purpose for every child regardless of their geographical location, financial status, religious affiliation, race or culture.
BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
North Collin County Habitat for Humanity has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any other distinctions dividing people. NCCHFH will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
HEARD NATURE CENTER
The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, in McKinney Texas, is the result of Bessie Heard’s vision for the future and her commitment to the community and North Texas. The Heard’s purpose is threefold: education, conservation, and preservation. In keeping with Miss Heard’s vision, Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary emphasizes an appreciation of nature and its conservation through education. The emphasis of the Heard’s education programs is children; however, the Heard also offers programs that will interest visitors of any age.
MCKINNEY PUBLIC LIBRARY
The McKinney Public Library System enriches the lives of people in the community by providing open access to a wide variety of materials, services and information in a responsive and friendly environment that promotes lifelong learning.
