Come be part of this year’s 3e McKinney Serve Day on Saturday, April 28th. Hundreds of volunteers from Christ Fellowship and other 3e McKinney churches will engage in building a stronger community together.

You don’t need to have any special skills, just a willing heart and a desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Your humble acts of service can have a life-changing impact on someone who desperately needs to know that God is Real, He is Here, and He loves Them!

  • Details: Assemble cookies individually wrapped and attach a hand written encouragement note. Hand deliver to all residents and staff.  Cookies can be home-made or store bought depending on the organization.  More details will be included on each sign up. (e.g. kid-friendly, dietary restrictions, delivery times, number of residents at each location)

ASSET-BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (ABCD) SURVEY

  • Details: ABCD SURVEY is a methodology for the sustainable development of communities based on their strengths and potentials. It involves assessing the resources, skills, and experience available in a community; organizing the community around issues that move its members into action; and then determining and taking appropriate action. Volunteers will meet at Old Settler’s for training and conduct survey on site.

ASSEMBLE CARE PACKAGES FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN IN SHELTERS

    • Purpose:  Purchase and prepare care kits for women who have experienced domestic abuse and are seeking refuge at a shelter. Care packages can be assembled as a family activity, life group or bible study group.
    • Instructions: Please package all items in a reusable plastic container  or bag and deliver assembled packages to:

ASSEMBLE BACKPACKS FOR THE HOMELESS

    • Purpose:  Purchase and assemble homeless backpack care kits for the homeless.  Backpacks will be given away to the homeless, which contain basic living and survival items. Care packages can be assembled as a family activity, life group or bible study group.
    • Instructions: Please package all items in a backpack and deliver assembled packages to:

        •  Food – eating utensils, cans of food, power bars, bottled water, etc.

ASSEMBLE CHEMOTHERAPY CARE KITS

    • Purpose:  Purchase and assemble for kits for cancer patients. (men, women and children)  A comforting and thoughtful gift for those  undergoing chemotherapy as part of their treatment can be a great comfort and blessing. Care packages can be assembled as a family activity, life group or bible study group.
